The "Paste Window with Hyperlinked Bible Passages" webpage is used for viewing Bible passages within text where those Bible passages are not already hyperlinked. The copied text that is pasted into this webpage can originate from anywhere. For this help webpage, the text is copied from the webpage that results from clicking the cross-reference image () for Matthew 2:1-12 on the Bible Outline webpage.

When this webpage is first opened, the display is very simple. The "Paste here:" field is used as the target for the pasting of the copied text. The "Add links" button locates and hyperlinks the Bible passages within the pasted text. The "Show passages using Bible outline" button opens a Bible outline webpage and displays the Bible passages from the pasted text in the table at the top of that webpage. The "Reset" button resets the display to its initial state, ready for new text to be pasted.

As previously mentioned, the text to be pasted can originate from any source. For this help webpage the text is copied from from the webpage that results from clicking the cross-reference image () for Matthew 2:1-12 on the Bible Outline webpage. The following screenshot shows the text that is selected and then copied using ctrl-c.

After the desired text has been copied, it should be pasted into the "Paste Here:" field. This is done by clicking in this field (as shown below).

To paste the text, ctrl-v should be used to paste the text. When this is done, the display updates to include the pasted text. Note that the fonts and any special formatting (e.g., bolding, italice, etc.) from the original text are not included in the pasted text.

After the copied text has been pasted, the last step is to click the "Add links" button. When that is done, the Bible passages within the pasted text are hyperlinked (underlined) as shown below.

Hovering the mouse over one of the hyperlinked Bible passages shows the Bible passage using the Bible Gateway application. For example, hovering the mouse over "Micah 5:2" shows that Bible passage.

The "Show passages using Bible outline" button locates all the Bible passages within the pasted text and displays the Bible outline webpage with these passages added to the table at the top of that webpage. Note that this command can be executed independently of the "Add links" command as it does not depend on the hyperlinked results of executing that command. When this command is executed on the pasted text above, the resulting Bible outline page appears as follows.

The Reset button erases all the previously pasted text, restoring the original display.
