Serve Help
The "Serve" webpage consists of a table that is used to research service opportunities and trees below the table that expose the various service opportunities.
If the "Serve" webpage is accessed from within the context of a specific church, then the service opportunities within that church will be presented in the first tree under the table. In the following screenshot, the service opportunities within Ascension Lutheran (Huntsville, Alabama) are shown. With each opportunity an image is presented that, if clicked, will display another webpage describing that particular service opportunity.
The LCMS service opportunities are broken up into two trees. The first tree "How We Serve" covers the service opportunities spelled out on the LCMS "How We Serve: Mission and Mercy" webpage accessed via the image after the "How we serve" tree node. Each service opportunity has an LCMS image () that, when clicked displays the LCMS webpage for that service opportunity.
The last tree "Service opportunities" covers the service opportunities defined via the LCMS "Service Opportunities" webpage triggered when the LCMS image after "Service opportunities" is clicked. As for the "How we serve" tree, each node in the "Service opportunities" tree contains an LCMS image that, when clicked, displays the LCMS webpage for that service opportunity.
Clicking yellow-underlined text from any of the trees adds that service opportunity to the table at the top. From this table deeper research on that service opportunity/topic may be performed. The following screenshot shows the result when the "Lutheran early response teams", "Mercy medical teams" and "Missionary service" nodes are clicked.
