Slideshows Help
The "Slideshows" webpage is a precursor of future functionality. It currently serves no useful purpose and is included solely for the purpose of soliciting feedback on potential future functionality. Like many other webpages for this website, the "Slideshows" webpage consists of a table and the top and trees (currently one tree) below the table.
Like other webpages, clicking the yellow-underlined nodes for the tree adds those entries to the table at the top. The following screenshot shows the addition of two of the nodes to the top table.
Each of the columns in the table identify a different slideshow presentation. One of these, or perhaps another slideshow presentation not currently included, will likely be used in planned future functionality.
The first image column, when clicked, presents a basic slideshow presentation. For each slide, a circle at the bottom allows direct navigation (by clicking on the circle) to that slide. Alternatively, right and left arrow keys can be used to quickly move through the slides.
The second image column simply shows all the images in one large window.
The third image column shows a rotating carousel of pictures.
The fourth image column presents the images with a slide bar at the bottom for moving between these images.
The final column is similar to the second image column in that all the images are shown at once. However, this slideshow presentation allows for filtering the display by selecting categories at the top.
One of these slideshow presentations, or perhaps one not currently shown through this webpage, will be utilized elsewhere within this website. Probably the first use will be to show multiple pictures of a church and its congregation on the church's special website (currently limited to just one image) available via the extended information for a church on the Church Information webpage.
