The "Liturgies" web page displays the components of each of the LCMS liturgies and allows for research to be performed on each of these component parts of the liturgy. Like the other webpages for this website, this webpage is meant to augment the information within the various LCMS documents, in this case the LSB hymnal. The user is strongly encouraged to acquire a copy of the LSB hymnal and use that hymnal in conjunction with the webpages for this website.

All of the liturgies within the Lutheran Service Book are available via the Liturgy dropdown list.

For whatever liturgy is selected from the dropdown list, the component parts of that liturgy are shown in the table. For example, when the "Divine Service Setting 1" liturgy is selected, the components of that liturgy are shown in the table as follows.

The columns in this table and their meanings are:

Title - the name for the component part of the liturgy. The first row in the table is for the liturgy as a whole

Passage - Bible passage(s) for the component part of the liturgy. For many component parts this column is blank, not because there is no Bible passage(s) pertinent to that component, but because the Bible passage(s) vary depending on the specifics for that component. For example, all of the LSB hymns and all of the readings tie back to Bible passages, but the specific Bible passages depend on the specific hymn or specific reading.
