LC-MS Questions and Answers Help
Like many of the web pages in this web site, the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod questions webpage consists of a table at the top and a tree at the bottom. The table at the top is used for more detailed research on the questions at the bottom and is populated by selecting items from the tree.
The LCMS.org website has a series of questions and answers on its web site. The questions from the LCMS.org web site have been replicated in the tree at the bottom of this web page. Expanding the tree (by clicking the green circles) allows access to these questions. Clicking the text for one of the questions will add the topic for that question to the table at the top, from which more detailed research can be performed. After each question is a small image that, when clicked, will bring up the answer to that question from the LCMS.org web site.
For example, expanding the Questions-->Doctrines-->Baptism branch of the tree results in the following display:
Clicking the underlined text for the first three baptism questions adds the topics for those questions to the table at the top resulting in the following display:
The columns within the LCMS questions table can be used to discover additional information about each of the topics raised by the question. Clicking on the images in the table will query using another web site and will display the results of that query in a new window. The columns in this table, and the corresponding action when selected, are:
- displays the answer from the LCMS (https://lcms.org) web site for the question on the selected row of the table
- uses the (currently non-existent) LCMS chatbot to generate an article based on the question for that row.
- uses the ChatGPT chatbot (https://chatgpt.com) to generate an article based on the question for that row. This question is prefixed with "According to the LCMS," to have ChatGPT flavor its response based on the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.
- uses the Google search engine (https://www.google.com) to generate search results for the topic for that row. An "LCMS" keyword is prepended to the query so that the results have an LCMS flavor.
- searches the KFUO (radio) web site for episodes pertinent to the topic for the question for that row.
- searches the Lutheran Hour Ministries (https://www.lhm.org) web site for information pertinent to topic for the question for that row
- searches the Concordia Publishing House (https://www.cph.org) book store for books pertinent to the topic for the question for that row.
- searches YouTube (https://www.youtube.com) for movies pertinent to the topic for the question for that row. An "LCMS" keyword is prepended to the query so that the results have an LCMS flavor.
- searches the Lutheran Witness web site (https://witness.lcms.org) for information pertinent to the topic for the question for that row
- searches the LCMS sermons (https://lcmssermons.org) web site for sermon-related information pertinent to the topic for the question for that row.
- searches Pastor Bryan Wolfmueller's personal web page (https://wolfmueller.co), which contains lots of interesting articles, for information pertinent to the topic for the question for that row
- uses the Yahoo search engine (https://search.yahoo.com) to generate search results pertinent to the topic for the question for that row. An "LCMS" keyword is prepended to the query so that the results have an LCMS flavor.
