The "Define Sermon/Service Library" webpage is used to define the sermons and/or services for a specific church such that a user of that church's Hub homepage can access those sermons/services. The sermons/services defined via this website should be saved in a Sermons.txt file (process is described later) that should be included with the other church files sent when the specific church's definitions have been completed.
If this webpage is used to define the sermons/service for the church, then the Sermon(s) input field on the Define General Info webpage should be set to use the Hub link (as opposed to another link on that church's website for accessing the sermons).
The user of the church's Hub webpages will see the sermons in a table showing the basic information from the "Define Sermon/Service Library" webpage (with fewer columns and a linked image to the lectionary festival).
If sermons are defined using this webpage and the Sermon(s) input field on the Define General Info webpage is set to use the Hub link, then the sermons image will be added to the Extended column on the Church Information webpage allowing direct access from that webpage to the sermons/services.
The process for creating, populating and persisting the sermon/service information involves the following steps:
The "Set Default Values" command button is used to set the default values that are used to populate any new sermons/services that are created using the "New Sermon/Service" command button. When the table is initially populated either by copying and pasting the contents of the local Sermons.txt file or by downloading from the server, the default values are copied from the last sermon/service in the table.
The "New Sermon/Service" button creates a new sermon or service and populates it with the default values. These values can then be modified as desired using the input fields at the bottom.
Clicking a cell in a row of the table will populate the input fields at the bottom, allowing that entry to be edited as desired.
Input Fields:
The "Copy sermons/services into paste buffer" command button should be used to copy the sermons/services defined on this webpage into the paste buffer (clipboard). Once copied, the sermons/services should be pasted into a local Sermons.txt file that should then be included with the files sent to me when the church definition is complete.
